Waitrose & Partners Comely Bank – Click & Collect

2017 & 2018

Graphic Design

I was asked by Waitrose & Partners at Comely Bank to create Point of Sale to aid with the opening of their temporary Click & Collect collection point over the Christmas period.

This required me to create a design that perfectly resembled that used by Waitrose as to not damage the brand and to allow for it to be recognisable to customers.

This was undertaken over two years, 2017 before the & Partners rebrand and 2018 after the rebrand.

The POS created used the same colours as the central POS and typeface and featured way finding floor arrows (2017), way finding totem poles (2018), parcel stickers (2018), large panel room signage and strut cards.

The challenge was to uphold the Waitrose brand and create an easy customer journey from the normal collection point at the front of the store to the temporary point at the rear. Floor arrows or totem poles achieved this well, with strut cards providing additional information as required.

Overall the client felt that the POS was on brand and that the designed assets led to successful execution of the festive relocation.
